Columbia, MD—August 14, 2008—MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that the European hotel chain Scandic has selected the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution as its next generation central system solution. The implementation will include the OPERA Reservation System (ORS), OPERA Customer Information System (OCIS), and OPERA Web Services Suite, all hosted in the MICROS Datacenter located in Frankfurt, Germany.
